BIOGRAPHY
Marah started with classical ballet at the age of 5. She has received scholarships from various dance schools and companies in her home country, Philippines. Marah has trained with Dance Forum’s Myra Beltran, Julie Alagde and Donna Miranda. She performed Miranda’s entry at Hannover International Choreographer’s Competition in 2009. In HK, she has choreographed for Standard Chartered’s Arts in The Park through HK Youth Arts Foundation in 2012. In 2014, she worked with Dance Kho for White (Kirsten Ho and Stephanie Janaina). Her piece, “Absent Presence” for HK People’s Fringe Festival was also an entry to I-Dance Festival which she won best female performer.

The piece confronts audience with choices that encourage them to take a more active role of relating or identifying with the performance. What happens when other elements besides movements are altered on site? At what significance or relevance do they affect the audience sense perception?
