Konstandina followed rythmic gymnastics training for ten years before entering the State School of Dance in Athens. After graduating she also followed greek folk dance training. In Greece she worked with Horeftes, the Hellenic Dance Company, Haris Mantafounis Dance Company and the National Opera of Greece.
In 2007 she moved to Brussels to join Utima Vez – Wim Vandekeybus for the creation of “Menske” and the continuation of “Spiegel” tour 2008. In 2009 she joined Enclave Dance company under direction of Roberto Olivan for the creation and tour of “Mermaid’s call” and “Alba Eterna”. In 2010 she joined Akram Khan Company for the creation and tour of “Vertical Road” and tour of “Confluence”. In April 2012 she moved back to Greece for the creation and premiere of “KIRERU” with RootlessRoot (Jozef Fruzek, Linda Kapetanea). In 2013 she was part of the “Vicious Cycle” creation by Jukstapoz Dance Company (Christine Gouzelis-Paul Blackman). In 2014 she collaborated with NYDC (National Youth Dance Company, UK) and the State School of dance in Dance in Athens, under the artistic direction of Akram Khan, as rehearsal director, for restaging part of “Vertical Road”. Within 2015 she joined Rootlessroot again to create there new work “Europium” which is still touring.
Recently Konstandina has decided to focus more on her own work. Since 2012 she has created two solo pieces “Henshin” and “Αγαπητέ Μιχαλάκη”and two group pieces “Looking forward to meeting” for the Symphonic Dance Evening in S.E.A.D., Salzburg and “A flock of Sounds” for the Black Box of State School of Dance in Athens. Konstandina is currently freelancing throughout Europe, United Kingdom and Asia. She has also lead workshops in Greece and abroad such as: Flic Scuola di Circo-(Torino), Deltebre Dance Festival-(Spain), Tainan University of Fine Arts-(Taiwan).

MASTER WORKSHOP | TECHNIQUE FOR CHOREOGRAPHY AND IMPROVISATION
Konstandina has worked in major companies such as Akram Khan Company, Ultima Vez, Jukztapoz and Rootless Root amongst others. In this workshop she will be sharing her experiences and views that have influenced her personal way of teaching, creating, performing.She will draw from her vast experience she has as a professional performer to offer a unique process in technique for choreography and improvisation.
The intensive workshop will be organised in two parts. At the first part through improvisation we will explore a physical material in duets. Together with our partner we will dive into the given task, discover the possibilities that it offers, transform it and take it further into composing a short fixed material. Each couple will compose their own phrase, present it, exchange ideas with the group and take feedback in order to arrive to a desirable result. In this part we will focus on precision, qualities and dynamics of the physical material, rhythm and musicality of the composition.
In the second part of our meeting we will create an open structure of improvisation where the whole group will participate using the fixed duets and the primary given task as a base. Having these elements as a point of reference we will play with real time composition including the whole group, working in transitions, entrances and exits in order to experience the flow of a short group story.
