Biography
Cybil was graduated from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, United Kingdom in 2016 with BA (Hons) degree. Since her graduation, Cybil has been working as a freelance dance artist. Born in Hong Kong, Cybil started ballet training at Jean M. Wong School of Ballet where she began to have performance experiences and received Tsinform C. Wong Memorial Scholarship to participate in scholar class. In 2012, Cybil was admitted to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to study dance for two years. Cybil was the recipient of HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund Reaching Out Award in 2014. At Rambert School, Cybil worked with different teachers and choreographers, such as Ross McKim, Kerry Nicholls, Salah El Brogy and Etta Murfitt. She was also featured in The Creation choreographed by former artistic director of Rambert Dance Company, Mark Baldwin and Hear The Stars by Antonia Franceschi, which were performed in Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London. With Cybil’s enthusiasm, she has participated in different dance courses and workshops, such as Gaga Dancers Intensive, Les Étés de la Danse Alvin Ailey, company class with Sasha Waltz & Guests, Batsheva Dance Comapny and Ballet Preljocaj. She as well performed internationally. For instance, Alvin Ailey’s Revelation in Internationl Jazz Centre, Paris, Crash Rhythm by Tyler Gilstrap in Symphony Space, New York, and Bolero by Bradley Shelver in Tivoli, Copenhagen. Cybil has been dancing with different dance artists and teachers, including Nikolaj Hübbe, Stephen Sherriff, Yaara Moses, Renee Robinson, Monique Loudières, Alexandre Proia, Paul Melis, Seke Chimutenwende, Milla Koistinen and Laura Aris.
